Listen to Johan Nicholson
Johan Nicholson will be giving a talk entitled "Malayan and Malaysian Life Illuminated through period adverts - 1920s to 1960s". He will be focusing on Malaysian life as revealed through advertisements. This talk is jointly organised by Badan Warisan Malaysia and the Malaysian Branch of the Royal Asiatic Society.

After last year's banging festival, Urbanscapes returns with more to offer! To take place again at the beautiful grounds of KLPac, expect to see the best of the city in terms of music, film, the arts, photography, fashion and much, much more.

Shangri-La Hotel's pastry team introduces eight new signature cakes at Lobby Lounge and Cinnamon. “Sensual” features walnut coffee crunch layered with cappuccino mousse, vanilla cream and coffee macaroon while “Brilliant” is baked frangipane almond tart with fresh strawberries, raspberries and blueberries.

Indulge in “Luscious” that comes in the form of moist walnut crunch with banana cream and orange mousse covered in rich Valrhona chocolate. “Allure” consists of a mix of coconut, apricot and passion fruit cream topped with milk chocolate. Hazelnut fans will enjoy “Sapphire” made of hazelnut mascarpone mousse, hazelnut biscuit and raspberry brulee. “Velvet” meanwhile features rich cream cheese with fresh yogurt on hazelnut crumble and “Obsession” delights guests with crunch praline crust layered with white chocolate and cassis cream.

interest yourself to an Idyllic Lifestyle
Art Loft will be hosting Vietnamese artist Ngovan Sac's solo exhibition in KL. In this exhibition, the artist paintings are his observations of how people deal with the contemporary issues in their lives.

Nizam Abdullah's Threesixfive Me
The Annexe Gallery is delighted to present Nizam Abdullah's “threesixfive ME”. The exhibition marks Nizam's first solo outing and represents the culmination of a hardwon introspection for the last two years of his art practice.

Fundamental to Nizam's new body of work is a deconstructive approach to the question of the Malay male identity and its proclivity towards narcissism. Working across a variety of media, from wall installations to paintings to video, the concept of identity and the aesthetics behind a specific cultural identity face a many-pronged assault that ultimately hopes to redefine what it means to be a Malay man.

Dont miss Skyline
Hard Rock Café brings in another blazing band, Skyline, throughout the months of June and July! This highly versatile 7 piece-band from Indonesia comprises of Rio, Loly and Maya on vocals, Ari (Drums), Gemmy (Bass), Iwan ( Keyboard) and Laudi (guitar) and they are all set to rock Hard Rock Café's centrestage. Skyline's repertoire ranges from top 40s, R&B, rock, alternative, to slow ballads and even some heavy-rock songs to get the crowd all heated up! They have also played in other Hard Rock Café locations and this would be their first time performing here in Kuala Lumpur.
